Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre has over 40 years of experience in providing safe outdoor adventure activities and regards the safety of its participants as its highest priority. 

We invest significant time and resource in risk assessments of our activities and training for all our instructors. All of our activities have been carefully assessed for inherent hazards and specific safe operating procedures created for each individual activity.

STANDARDS

Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre currently holds an outdoor activities licence through the Adventure Activities Licencing Authority *AALA* who inspects the Centre to ensure we are operating safe outdoor activity. The Centre is also an approved Royal Yachting Association *RYA* and British Canoeing *BC* approved training Centre.

EXPERIENCE

The Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre team is made up of highly qualified instructors who hold the National Governing Body qualifications. In addition many of our instructors act as Technical Advisors in their own right. All staff are trained in the latest safeguarding policies and procedures and there will be a recognised First-Aider on site during any activity.

RISK ASSESSMENT AND INSURANCE

All activities are risk assessed at regular intervals and detailed risk assessments and safe operating procedures are maintained. All activities are covered by the Centre’s Public Liability Insurance.

MANAGEMENT

Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation dedicated to running the Centre and making water sports available to everyone. Charity number: 1193626.
