Canoeing and Kayaking
Our centre runs a number of courses for both novices and the experienced, the young and the not so young!
British Canoeing (BC) is the national governing body for all paddle sports and Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre is a recognised teaching establishment.
Offering a range of nationally accredited programs run by a team of experienced BC instructors, the fleet includes open Canadian style canoes, single closed cockpit Kayaks and sit-on Tootega kayaks.
The Centre offers all levels of canoeing and kayaking, ranging from fun ‘taster’ sessions to courses leading to a recognised BC qualification. Groups are managed on a maximum ratio of one instructor to 8 students. Paddles and buoyancy aids are provided. We also run coaching courses for BC UKCC qualifications.
There is also the added option of a ‘Canoe Nature Trail’, which offers the chance for paddlers to enjoy a relaxed day exploring the Broads, taking in the sights and sounds up the river.
If you know what level of training you would like please let us know; and if you are unsure please contact us to discuss what would be appropriate ([email protected]).
