  • RYA Junior Stages 1 - 4

    RYA Junior Stages

     

    RYA Stage 1

    A basic understanding of how a boat sails, with some experience of steering and handling the boat.

    RYA Stage 2

    A range of sailing skills and knowledge to help in becoming a confident sailor.

    RYA Stage 3

    Rigging, Launching and sailing in any direction. Equivalent to Level 2 in the National Sailing Scheme.

    RYA Stage 4

    Sail a double handed boat as a crew or helm, and solve a variety of problems afloat. (Optional if Stage 3 was taken in a double hander).

    Introducing you to sailing with all you need to know to get afloat under supervision.

     

    RYA Level 2

    Setting out the foundations for sailing including Rigging, launching, sailing in all directions. Capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge
